If you are thinking about playing at the Tropical 7s, here are 5 benefits why your team should register early for next Easter's tournament...
Guarantee your team’s place in the tournament: Teams have started to register earlier than ever for our 2024 tournament. Get your team registered today and know your team’s space is secured as there are a limited number of team spaces for each division. Once a division is full, the division will move to waitlist. A team’s acceptance into the tournament is also subject to satisfactory compliance with USA Rugby who sanction our event.
Secure your tournament accommodation: Teams must first register for the tournament in order to take advantage of preferred tournament rates. Event Connect, our accommodation partner, have negotiated discounted rates with over 30 hotels in the Tampa area for the 2024 Tropical 7s. However, demand for rooms is expected to be high based on previous expeirience and we strongly advise to get your accommodation locked-in.
Request your preferred training times: Once registered, teams are able to request their preferred training times on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th April inclusive. Training under flood lights is also available on both these days. Demand for field time on both training days is expected to be high. While we try to accommodate individual team requests as best as we can, training time allocations will be made on a first come first served basis.
Reserve your team tent space: Registered teams are able to reserve space in our covered tent areas that provide welcome shelter from the Florida sunshine. The areas are available to teams from Thursday to Saturday (all 3 days). However, there is a limited number of team tent areas available and we strongly advise teams reserve and pay for these well in advance to avoid any disappointment.

Registration for the 2023 Tropical 7s is currently open. Youth & university teams from around the globe are invited to compete in the International Youth Rugby Sevens tournament to be held on 7-8 April 2023 (Fri/Sat of Easter weekend) at the Tournament Sportsplex of Tampa Bay in Florida, USA.
Teams are invited to arrive early in the week to set up training camp with playing pitches available from Wednesday 27th March 2024, with the official Tropical 7s Athlete Combine and Talent ID Session scheduled to be held on Thursday 28th March 2024.
