The talent ID session will run alongside the TROPICAL 7s ATHLETE COMBINE which will be delivered in conjunction with USA WEIGHLIFTING. The participation of USA Rugby at the Tropical 7s is further validation of the tournament's growing status in attracting aspiring young talent in the United States. The Tropical 7s is an official USA Rugby sanctioned event.
“We are thrilled to have USA Rugby involved once again at this year's Tropical 7s and be able to provide the perfect environment for young talent to perform at their best and be scouted. We have had representatives from USA Rugby attend our event since 2017 and we are excited to be fully supporting the national union's objectives in nurturing future talent here in the States," said John Siner, TROPICAL 7s Executive Director.
"We are happy to be coming back to Tropical 7s as we seek to identify new talent and continue to track players we have seen before,” said Brendan Keane, USA Rugby’s Men’s High-Performance Pathways Manager. “As Tropical 7s is a big event and high quality tournament, it attracts a lot of good players. It is a good chance for us to observe and interact with these young players and get them involved in the pathway process."
