Since opening registration for next year’s tournament in May, we have experienced strong demand for the 2025 TROPICAL 7s with some popular divisions approaching waitlist suggesting next year will be another sold out event.
Due to this unprecedented early demand, we have decided to extend our U18 Boys Open and U18 Girls Open divisions to 24 teams each - we expect these additional team spaces will be taken up quickly as these divisions are usually our most popular and first to sell out.
We have limited U18 Boys and Girls Elite divisions to a maximum of 8 teams in each division. Teams wishing to enter these divisions will need to be pre-approved before they will be able to register online (and provided with an access code). There is currently space in these divisions but we again expect them to move to waitlist soon. If you are considering registering for U18 elite divisions, please email info@tropical7s.com.
We will again be offering Senior Men’s and Senior Women’s Elite divisions in 2025 following their successful inclusion in 2024. Please email info@tropical7s.com if you wish to enter a team in either of these divisions as they will also need to be pre-approved.
Based on current demand we are seeing for team places elsewhere and limited take up, we have decided to not offer the U18 Boys and Girls ‘Development’ divisionsaimed at relatively new rugby programs for 2025. We know this will be a disappointment for some teams but we are hopeful we will be able to offer these divisions in 2026.
Please note confirmation of team entry is subject to payment of the team registration fee and is conditional on the team, players and coaches satisfying both the tournament and our sanctioning body’s (USA Rugby) eligibility criteria.
The 2025 TROPICAL 7s will be played over 18th and 19th April 2025 at the Tampa Sportsplex, Tampa, USA.
