The Tropical Rugby International Youth Sevens -- or TROPICAL 7s -- is a new competition that addresss the need for high-level and internationally focused Olympic rugby at the youth and university level. It is the ideal place to find great international competition and ideal playing conditions.

WHEN & WHERE

The TROPICAL 7s is held annually over the Easter holiday week with the next edition to be held on 30/31 March 2018 -- and will again take place at the beautiful Omni Championsgate resort located in the heart of Orlando, Florida's tourist district. The first edition of the Tropical 7s was held in April 2017 and featured teams from England, Canada, Mexico, and across the United States.

FOR WHO?

The TROPICAL 7s draws not only some of the world’s top elite teams, but the tournament is open to all teams of various skill levels -- for both boys & girls -- at the appropriate competition level across a number of age groups.

Divisions are available for both boys & girls at U-18 (Elite & Open), U-16, and u-14. There is also a university division for both elite and open mens & womens teams. 

WHY IS TROPICAL 7s SPECIAL?

With perfect weather and perfect grass pitches, TROPICAL 7s offers teams the ultimate rugby experience. Similar to the senior-level professional 7s series, teams are invited to arrive early to set up a training camp environment ahead of the event, with access to the pitches and training equipment, as well as the following offerings:

• Tropical 7s Athlete Combine
• Opportunity to organise Training Sessions with a Tropical 7s International Coach
• A special social event (in 2017 a big group attended a NBA Orlando Magic game).
